Albums

The Albums section holds all user-created Albums and Folders. This is the root of Phototheca’s organizational hierarchy. While all Events are in the Events section, all Albums and Folders go inside this one. Besides the Albums and Folders, this section has the built-in subfolder “Media Types.”

Media Types

This is a built-in Folder that has four automatically populated Albums:

  • HDR
  • Panoramas
  • Portraits
  • Videos

HDR

This Album shows all HDR photos made with iPhone across the Library. Phototheca can understand if a photo imported from iPhone is an HDR photo and this Album gives users a way to quickly see them all.

HDR photos also have the badge “HDR” over their thumbnails; this can be disabled in Settings.

This Album can replicated by a user with Smart Album, using a condition in the “Media Type” attribute.

Panoramas

This Album shows all panoramas made with iPhone or a regular DSLR camera across the Library. Phototheca can understand if a photo is a panorama and this Album gives users a way to quickly see them all.

This Album can be replicated by a user with Smart Album, using a condition in the “Media Type” attribute.

Portrait

This Album shows all portraits made with iPhone across the Library. Phototheca can understand if a photo imported from the iPhone is a portrait and this album gives users a way to quickly see them all.

Portraits also have the badge “Portrait” over their thumbnails;  this can be disabled in Settings.

This Album can be replicated by a user with Smart Album, using a condition in the “Media Type” attribute.

Videos

This Album just shows all videos and movies across the Library.

This Album can be replicated by a user with Smart Album, using a condition in the “Photo,” “File Format,” or “Media Type” attribute.
