There is another useful option that we can adjust on thumbnails view: the density of the thumbnails. This option controls the horizontal spacing between thumbnails. It allows you to change the padding around thumbnails, making them either take more space around them or stick closer to one another.
To change the thumbnails density, hit and hold the Alt key and scroll the mouse wheel to move thumbnails closer together or farther apart.
